The Ulaantaij Yurt

This is the yurt that we stayed in for a week:

As you can see from the 19' yurt looks nice and big. Also see that it's set on a level timber platform.

Note the camp fire in the foreground.

On the inside (this being taken with a camera lens that doesn't necessarily do the interior size justice - that's a full double bed on the right-hand side) you can see that it's all comfortable with good headroom (although the front door is quite low). The wood burning stove in the centre of the room is just for heating, and gets plenty hot.

The wall lattice conceals an extra layer of felt that kept us warm on the few cloud-free, colder nights.
