Legitimate use of photos taken in school
17th December 2009 - 11:46 - bob
I'm entertained/worried by the issues relating to parents photographing/videoing their own and other peoples children at school events.
In respect for other people I haven't posted any pictures of any other children taking part in Linus's school nativity.
I am however less concerned about posting pictures of their parents taking pictures.

My/our position on the posting of normal family pictures on the internet is fairly obvious, but I'm interested in what other people think.

I don't think there is an easy answer and it's a very grey area, which is probably why there are no official guidelines on it - no-one wants to tackle it.
Just a shame I can't find all the class pictures that were published on the internet earlier this year by the photographer. I'm not sure that's what the school had in mind when they hired him.
